Use and Redemption of Vouchers

I. Sending Vouchers
Sending Fees: Our Website (www.okyapp.com) and the OKY application (“OKY App”) contains information about fees and charges that may apply when sending an OKY voucher through any of the OKY authorized digital platforms, including the OKY App, the OKY website, or through an authorized OKY distributor (“OKY Platform”). However, we reserve the right to change this information, including any applicable fees, at any time and without prior notice. In case of change, the new fee applicable to each voucher will be published on the OKY Website and the OKY App. A user of a OKY Platform is referred to as an “OKY User”
Maximum Value of OKY Vouchers Sent per 30 day rolling period: The maximum aggregate amount that any OKY User can send in this period through its account in the OKY Platform is TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS worth of OKY Vouchers. Once an OKY User reaches this maximum amount, it will only be allowed to send new OKY vouchers until the following 30 day rolling period.
Maximum Number of Beneficiaries: An OKY User cannot send OKY vouchers to more than ten (10) different beneficiaries (i.e., OKY Voucher recipients) within a single 30 day rolling period. Once an OKY User reaches such limit, he or she can only send additional OKY vouchers until the following 30 day rolling period.
Cancellation of vouchers: An OKY User that sends an OKY Voucher may cancel or withdraw it if such OKY Voucher has not expired and has not been redeemed on the date of such cancellation or withdrawal. Refund in cases of cancellation: In cases of cancellation, the value of the OKY Voucher will be refunded to the OKY User account in the OKY Platform through which the voucher was sent The refund will be made by refunding the payment method used or crediting the OKY User’s account within ten (10) business days from the date of cancellation.
II. Voucher expiration:
(a) Non-Promotional Vouchers: Non-promotional OKY Vouchers (i.e., regular OKY Vouchers not tied to a specific promotion or purchased with promotional balance) expire six months from the date the OKY Voucher is received by the beneficiary. In case of expiration of a non-promotional OKY Voucher, the value of the expired voucher will be returned to the OKY User’s account in the OKY Platform from which the voucher was sent after applying a deduction for an administrative fee. This administration fee ranges from ONE US DOLLAR to FIVE US DOLLARS (US $ 1 and US $ 5), depending on the value of the expired OKY Voucher. The refund will be made by crediting the relevant value into the OKY User’s account within ten business days following the expiration of the voucher.
(b) Promotional OKY Vouchers: Promotional OKY Vouchers sent within a promotional activity or event launched by OKY and labeled as “Promotional” or “Promotion” are subject to the applicable promotion restrictions, including the expiration date. Unless it is otherwise expressly stated in the relevant promotion, no refunds will be made with respect to expired promotional vouchers.
Fee (charge) Applicable for Inactivity of OKY User’s Account: An OKY User that holds an account in any of the OKY Platforms that remains inactive (i.e., no top-ups, OKY Vouchers purchased or sent) during any consecutive five year period will be charged an “inactivity fee”. In these cases, the inactivity fee will be charged by debiting the applicable fee from the OKY User’s account if available.
III. Use and Redemption of Vouchers
OKY Vouchers can only be exchanged for merchandise, products or services offered by the brand or commercial establishment indicated in the OKY voucher.
NO CASH-IN of OKY Vouchers: OKY Vouchers cannot, under any circumstance, be exchanged for cash. The OKY Voucher is not a credit or debit card. Merkado reserves the right to take all relevant actions and measure in case of violations of this prohibition.
- In cases where the value of the OKY Voucher is less than the cost of the product for which it is redeemed, the balance may be paid with any other alternative form of payment acceptable to the brand or commercial establishment.
- OKY Vouchers must be used in their entirety. No partial refunds will be made if the voucher is not used in its entirety. In the event that the value of the OKY Voucher exceeds the cost of the product for which it is redeemed, the use of such excess value towards another product is subject to the store’s policies.
Merchandise Changes: Once the OKY Voucher has been redeemed at the predetermined merchant, any exchanges or returns of the products and services purchased are subject to the merchant’s exchange and return policies.
Maximum Number of Vouchers Received per 30 day rolling period: No single person can be the recipient of OKY Vouchers which face value exceed, in aggregate, TWO THOUSAND US DOLLARS (US$ 2,000.00) in the same 30 day rolling period , regardless of whether the vouchers were sent by the same person or a different people. Once the beneficiary has received vouchers which aggregate total exceed such maximum amount, it will only be allowed to receive vouchers until the following 30 day rolling period.
OKY Voucher Transfer: The recipient of an OKY Voucher may not sell the voucher to another person. OKY is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misused vouchers. Illegal or fraudulent use of an OKY Voucher will result in immediate cancellation of the voucher and OKY reserves the right to take all appropriate actions under its policies and applicable law, including cancellation the OKY User account in any of the OKY Platforms. To avoid these actions, do not share or transfer your voucher and make sure to use it in accordance with the OKY policies.
