I. Sending Vouchers
Sending Fees: Our Website (www.okyapp.com) and the OKY application will contain information about the sending Fees. However, we reserve the right to change this information, including the fee, at any time and without prior notice. In case of change, the new fee applicable to each voucher will be published on the Website and in the application.
Maximum amount per month: The user can send OKY vouchers from their account up to a maximum monthly aggregate amount of TWO THOUSAND HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$2,000.00). Once the user reaches this maximum amount of US $ 2,000 in the same calendar month, they will only be allowed to send new vouchers until the following month.
Maximum Number of Beneficiaries: A user cannot send vouchers to more than ten (10) different beneficiaries within a single month. Once a user reaches such limit, he or she can only send additional vouchers until the following month.
Cancellation of vouchers: The user who sends a voucher may cancel it if the voucher (1) has not expired, and (2) has not been redeemed.
Refund in cases of cancellation: In cases of voucher cancellation, the value of the voucher will be refunded to the user who made the shipment (excluding the shipping cost). The refund will be made by crediting the user’s OKY account within ten business days from the date of cancellation.
(a) Non-Promotional Vouchers: Non-promotional vouchers (i.e. regular vouchers not tied to a specific promotion or purchased with promotional balance) expire six months from the date the voucher is received by the beneficiary. In case of expiration of a non-promotional voucher, the value of the expired voucher will be returned to the sender’s OKY account after applying a deduction for an administrative fee. This administration fee ranges from ONE US DOLLAR to FIVE US DOLLARS (US $ 1 and US $ 5), depending on the value of the expired voucher. The refund will be made by crediting the relevant value into the user’s OKY account within ten business days following the expiration of the voucher.
(b) Promotional Vouchers: Promotional Vouchers sent within a promotional activity or event launched by OKY and labeled as “Promotional” or “Promotion” are subject to the applicable promotion restrictions, including the expiration date. Unless it is otherwise expressly stated in the relevant promotion, no refunds will be made with respect to expired promotional vouchers.
Fee (charge) applicable for Inactivity of account: In the case of refund of funds due to cancellation, expiration of Vouchers or reloads made to the user’s OKY account, a monthly fee will be charged to the OKY account holder from the fifth year of inactivity, which will be debited from the user’s OKY account.
II. Use and Redemption of Vouchers
Vouchers can only be exchanged in Guatemala for merchandise, products or services offered by the brand or commercial establishment indicated on the voucher.
Do not exchange for Cash: The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash. The voucher is not a credit or debit card.
In cases where the value of the voucher does not cover the entire purchase, the balance of your purchase can be paid with any other alternative form of payment acceptable to the brand or commercial establishment.
The voucher must be used in its entirety. No partial refunds will be made if the voucher is not used in its entirety. In the event the value of the voucher exceeds the value of the redeemed purchase, the use or application of such balance in a separate transaction is subject to the store’s policies.
Merchandise Changes: Once the voucher has been exchanged at the establishment, any change or return of the products and services purchased is subject to the applicable exchange and return policies of the establishment.
Maximum number of vouchers received per month: No voucher recipient may receive vouchers whose total aggregate amount exceeds TWO THOUSAND US DOLLARS (US$ 2,000.00) in the same calendar month, regardless of whether the vouchers have been sent by the same person or by different people. Once the beneficiary has received vouchers whose aggregate total exceeds the maximum amount of US $ 2,000.00 in the same calendar month, they will only be allowed to receive new vouchers until the following month.
Voucher Transfer: Do not share or transfer your voucher or code with anyone. Treat the code as cash. The recipient of the voucher may not sell it, transfer it, send it or assign it to another person.
